About the race
The Exeter Pretty Muddy event is a 5 km obstacle course held at Westpoint, Clyst St. Mary, Exeter, EX5 1DJ. The route starts and finishes on a tarmac path within the showground and follows a mix of road, tarmac pathways and grass across paths and fields around the showground.
The course includes muddy obstacles that require participants to climb, crawl and slide; marshals are present to assist and participants may skip obstacles if needed. Listed entry prices are Adults £25.49 and Children £15.00. A minimum fundraising target of £50.00 applies. The event notes that participants must be at least 13 years old to take part.
Children under six may attend free with an adult but are not registered participants. Facilities on site include refreshments, toilets and parking. The site is not wheelchair accessible and the start/finish areas are on grass that is slightly sloped and may become soft or muddy in wet weather. Blue Badge parking is available on hardstanding approximately 160 m from the event site.
There are no showers, no bag drop, no bike racks and no electric charging points. Dogs are not allowed and the site is not suitable for pushchairs. Travel information notes car parking and a drop off point within Westpoint, bus services from Exeter city centre (approximate journey 20 minutes, Westpoint is a request stop) and the nearest train station is Exeter St David’s, about 6 miles away.
