Edinburgh Pretty Muddy 5k
The Edinburgh Pretty Muddy event is a single lap 5k obstacle course that zig zags through The Meadows in Edinburgh. The route includes multiple muddy obstacles and is mainly on grass, which may be uneven and can become waterlogged. The start and finish are on grass to the right of Middle Meadow Walk, east of the main pathway.
Wave starts are staggered every 15 minutes to manage course flow. Participants must be at least 13 years old on the day of the event; a separate Pretty Muddy Kids offer exists for children aged 12 and under. The event is organised by Cancer Research UK and has a listed minimum fundraising target of £50. Earlybird ticket prices shown are £11.24 for adults and £6.00 for children.
Facilities listed for the event include refreshments and toilets. The course is not wheelchair accessible and is not suitable for pushchairs. Dogs are not allowed. There is no event parking or blue badge parking on site; pedestrian access to the park is open and bike racks are available at Middle Meadow Walk. The nearest train station is Edinburgh Waverley. Meeting arrangements reference the grass area east of Middle Meadow Walk and a what3words location rips.former.slimy for the start point.
Participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training plans, community access and a Race for Life medal on completion. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
