Edinburgh Pretty Muddy 5k at The Meadows
The Edinburgh Pretty Muddy 5k takes place at The Meadows in Edinburgh on 21 June 2026. The route is a single lap that zig zags through the park and includes a series of muddy obstacles that require climbing, crawling and sliding. The course is mainly on grass, which may be uneven and can become waterlogged.
The start and finish areas are on the grass to the east of the main pathway, by Middle Meadow Walk. Waves are used for safety, with groups starting at regular intervals. The event is open to people aged 13 and over; separate Pretty Muddy Kids events are available for younger children.
Facilities on site include refreshments and toilets. Dogs are not allowed. There is no event parking or designated drop off area and no blue badge parking. Bike racks are available at Middle Meadow Walk. The event is not suitable for wheelchair users and showers and bag drop are not available.
A minimum fundraising target of £50 applies. Adult and child entry prices are listed as £22.49 and £12.00 respectively. Registered participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training materials, community support and a Race for Life medal on completion.
