Edinburgh Pretty Muddy 5k
The Edinburgh Pretty Muddy 5k is a single lap obstacle course through The Meadows, Edinburgh, taking place on Sunday 21 June 2026. The route zig zags across mainly grassy areas and includes a series of muddy obstacles designed to be climbed, crawled and slid. The grass can be uneven and may become waterlogged.
Start and finish points are on the grass to the east of the main pathway, to the right of Middle Meadow Walk. Wave starts are staggered every 15 minutes to manage numbers on the course. Marshals are positioned on the route to assist participants who need to skip an obstacle.
Age and entry details are specified for the event. Participants must be 13 years of age or older. A minimum fundraising target of £50 applies. Entry fees listed for this event are Adults £22.49 and Children £12.00. Participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training support and a Race for Life medal on completion.
Facilities on site include refreshments and toilets. The event is not suitable for wheelchair users and is not suitable for pushchairs. There is no on site parking or designated drop off area. Pedestrian access to the park is open, the nearest train station is Edinburgh Waverley and bike racks are available at Middle Meadow Walk. Accessibility provisions include sunflower wristbands and a QR code for British Sign Language stage content. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
