Crawley Pretty Muddy 5k
The event is a Pretty Muddy obstacle course of approximately 5k around Tilgate Lake and the nature reserve in Tilgate Park, Crawley. The start and finish are on grass on the western side of Tilgate (Campbell's) Lake, down the hill from Tilgate Playground. The course is a double lap that uses pathways, woodland and tarmac sections and includes inclines, declines and uneven surfaces.
Participants will encounter mud and obstacles to climb, crawl and slide over. In wet weather grass and woodland sections may become soft, muddy or slippery, and there can be congestion within the woods and the Walled Garden. Course details and the course map are subject to change.
Entry and age information: the event materials list a minimum fundraising target of £50.00 and ticket prices shown for adults and children. Child entry information states registration for ages 6 to 15 must be completed by a parent or guardian and that under-6s may attend free but are not registered participants. Pretty Muddy events use staggered wave starts, with each wave 15 minutes apart.
Facilities listed for the event include refreshments, toilets and parking. The event site is not wheelchair accessible; in wet weather the grass start and finish areas may be soft underfoot. Blue Badge parking and nearby car parks are noted in the event information. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
