Northampton 5k
The Northampton 5k is a fundraising event taking place at Abington Park, Abington Park Crescent, Northampton NN3 3AD on 12 July 2026. It is open to participants aged 16 and over and carries a minimum fundraising target of £50. Entry prices are shown as £15.99 for adults and £11.00 for children.
The course starts and finishes at the top of the main field next to the event parking and runs through Abington Park. The route uses a mix of pathways and grass and leaves the main path at points, so sections can become boggy in poor weather and the terrain is uneven.
Event parking is available inside Abington Park on grass. Drop offs can be made in the event car park and blue badge parking is provided in the general event car park next to the site. There are various bus routes serving the park, the closest train station is Northampton about four miles away, and bike racks are available in the park. The nearest electric vehicle charging points are at The County Cricket Ground next to Abington Park.
On site facilities listed include refreshments, toilets and dogs allowed. Bag drop and showers are not available. The site is not suitable for wheelchair users or pushchairs. Participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training plans, access to an online community and a Race for Life medal on completion.
