Race for Life Milton Keynes : Willen Lake
The event takes place at Willen Lake, Brickhill Street, Milton Keynes MK15 0DS. The start and finish are on a grass area between the splash park and the play area, next to the ferris wheel. The route travels around Willen Lake pathways and offers varied views of the lake.
The course is mainly on tarmacked and hardstanding paths with some sections on grass and through woodland. It is run as a double lap and there may be congestion at the lap split point. The start and finish grass areas are slightly sloped and can be soft underfoot; in wet weather grass and woodland sections may become muddy or slippery. Events are chip-timed.
Travel and local facilities are described for participants. Event parking is in nearby Willen Lake car parks with yellow event signage; the event site is approximately a 10 minute walk from the car parks. Blue badge parking is available in Car Park B. Milton Keynes train station is about one mile away. Push bike racks are located next to Willen Lake B Car Park. There are various local bus stops close to the venue.
Available on event day are refreshments, toilets, permission for dogs, suitability for pushchairs, wheelchair access with assistance, bag drop, and showers.
