The course runs through central Glasgow streets including Saltmarket, Trongate, past George Square, along Buchanan Street and onto the Clydeside. The route is relatively flat and mixes tarmac and hardstanding surfaces. Planned road works in the city centre may cause route changes.

The event site has refreshments, toilets, and space suitable for pushchairs. Dogs are allowed and the site is wheelchair accessible with assistance. The start and finish areas are on hardstanding paths; the main event area is on grass and may become soft in wet weather. The course includes a decline on Buchanan Street that may require additional assistance and a merge point on Clyde Street that could cause congestion.
There is no official event car park and city centre road closures will affect travel. Blue Badge parking is available on Charlotte Street, approximately a two minute walk from the site. Nearest train stations include High Street, Argyle Street, Queens Street and Central Station.
The published minimum fundraising target is £50. Entry fees listed for earlybird places are £8.74 for ages 16 and over and £5.50 for children. Registered participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training support and a Race for Life medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
