About the race
Race for Life in Glasgow Green takes place on Sunday 16 May 2027. The event is organised as part of Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life series and lists Earlybird prices and a minimum fundraising target.

The course runs from Glasgow Green through city centre streets including Saltmarket, Trongate, George Square, Buchanan Street and along the Clydeside. The surface includes tarmac and hardstanding; the route is described as relatively flat but includes a decline on Buchanan Street and a possible congestion point at the Clyde Street merge. The route is subject to change due to planned road works.
The start and finish areas are within Glasgow Green near Nelson's monument. There is no official event car park and city centre road closures affect travel; several city car parks listed in travel information maintain access during the event. Nearest train stations include High Street, Argyle Street, Queen Street and Central Station. Bus services may be disrupted.
Facilities noted as available include refreshments and toilets; the site is suitable for pushchairs, allows dogs and is wheelchair accessible with assistance. Bag drop, showers and dedicated event parking are not available. Participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training support and a Race for Life medal.
