ACORN South By Five - Rouken Glen
This entry is for the Rouken Glen race within the South By Five series. The event takes place on 29 November 2026 and is a 5 km park run organised by Acorn Trails. It forms one of six park races held over a 12 week period, with a 5 km event in each park.
The series structure allows runners to enter single events or the full series. Completing five of the six races qualifies a participant as a "Fiver." Series entries are subject to an attendance rule: if a registrant misses two of the first three events, their series entry will be withdrawn and offered to the waiting list without refund.
Entry to the races is free, but there is a mandatory minimum donation to the Acorn Trails Community Fund. The fund supports coach and first aid training, local good causes, and trail and park work. Organisers also encourage donations to the local foodbank in lieu of an entry fee and can assist those unable to afford the donation.
Additional sign-up options include series entry and event merchandise, with merch choices closing after August. A local charity partnership supports Give A Dog A Bone to help older people adopt rescue animals. Each park day will include an organised litter pick; details will be provided closer to the event.
