Race for Life Folkestone
Race for Life Folkestone takes place at The Leas, outside The Grand in Folkestone on 7 June 2026. The event offers chip timed running options over several distances and has an age minimum of 16 years. Participants are asked to meet at the start on The Leas outside The Grand.
The course starts and finishes on grass and runs along The Leas with sea views. The route descends a zig zag path onto the sea wall towards Sandgate, turns shortly before Sandgate, and then returns with a steep incline back up onto The Leas. Because of the zig zag path and steep sections the course is not wheelchair accessible.
Facilities listed for the event include refreshments and toilets. Dogs are allowed on the site. The event does not provide bag drop or showers, and it is not suitable for pushchairs. There are no dedicated bike racks on The Leas. General parking is not provided, though a number of blue badge spaces are allocated in front of The Grand hotel. Train stations Folkestone West and Folkestone Central are about one mile from the event site. Bus access includes the 10A bus to Metropole East.
