Crawley 10k : Race for Life at Tilgate Park
The event takes place at Tilgate Park, Titmus Drive, Crawley RH10 5PQ, with the start and finish on grass on the western side of Tilgate (Campbell's) Lake, down the hill from Tilgate Playground. The course follows pathways around Tilgate Lake and the Nature Reserve and uses a mix of tarmac, grass, gravel and woodland surfaces. There are a few inclines and declines and some uneven surfaces on the woodland paths. In wet weather grass and woodland sections may become soft, muddy or slippery, and congestion can occur within the woods and the Walled Garden.
Distances offered
- 10k: double lap of the 5k route.
- 5k: route around Tilgate Lake and Nature Reserve.
- 3k: shorter route on park pathways.
Entry details note age categories and fees: the event is for ages 16 and over; child entry is for ages 6 to 15 with required registration and adult accompaniment; children under 6 may attend free without registration. Ticket prices shown are £20.49 for adults and £14.00 for children. A minimum fundraising target of £50.00 applies. The 10k is chip timed.
Facilities and access: refreshments, toilets, dogs allowed, parking and bike racks are available; showers and bag drop are not suitable. The event is not wheelchair accessible. Nine free Blue Badge parking spaces are available in Tilgate Car Park and the route from that car park to the event site is approximately 240 m and accessible with assistance.
