Race for Life Crawley 3k
This is a 3k community event at Tilgate Park, Crawley. The event lists an age guidance of 16 and over and shows entry fees of £14.99 with a children price of £10.00. A minimum fundraising target of £50.00 is indicated.
The course starts and finishes on grass and follows pathways around Tilgate Lake and the nature reserve. The route includes a few inclines and declines, uneven woodland surfaces, loose gravel and some tree roots. Surfaces can become muddy in wet conditions.
The start and finish are located on the western side of Tilgate (Campbell's) Lake, down the hill from Tilgate Playground. The what3words location given for the start is ///nobody.follow.polite. Vehicle parking options are provided at Gainsborough Field, Lakeside Car Park and Tilgate Car Park with approximate walking routes of 900 m, 575 m and 240 m to the main event site respectively. Nine free accessible parking spaces are available in Tilgate Car Park and the route from there to the main site is accessible to a wheelchair user with assistance over about 240 m. Local buses serving Tilgate Park include routes 2, 10, 20, 23, 271 and 273, and the nearest train station is Three Bridges.
Facilities on site include refreshments, toilets, dogs allowed and parking. The event is marked as not suitable for pushchairs and not wheelchair accessible due to uneven terrain.
