Race for Life Bristol
Organised by Cancer Research UK, this event takes place on Sunday 21 June 2026 at The Downs, Stoke Road, Bristol. The event offers the following distances:
- 10k
- 5k
The start and finish are on grass. The course runs mainly on grass around the outer perimeter of Durdham Downs and Clifton Downs and includes mixed terrain. The 10k route is a two lap course with an overall ascent of 56 m. There is a slight incline from the sea wall up to Stoke Road. Within the first 2 km the route passes the Wildflower Meadow on a track that can be uneven due to tree roots; an alternative tarmac line is available just after 1 km that rejoins the main course after about 2 km.
Accessibility and facilities are provided on site. Available facilities include refreshments, toilets, pushchair access and assistance for wheelchair users. Not available or unsuitable at the venue are dogs, bag drop, showers and on site parking. The designated meeting point is the grass area adjacent to Ladies Mile and Stoke Road, in sight of The Water Tower.
Travel options include nearby bus services (for example stops near Black Boy Hill), Clifton train station within walking distance, cycle parking at The Downs Café and Dott e scooters and e bikes operating in the city with applicable age and licence requirements. Listed entry fees include £17.49 and £11.00 and a minimum fundraising target of £50. Participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training support and a medal on completion.
