Race for Hope Greater Philadelphia
The Race for Hope Greater Philadelphia takes place on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Cooper River Park in Pennsauken Township, New Jersey. The event is a community 5K walk/run that raises awareness and funds to support the needs of people with brain tumors and their families. It is open to participants of all ages.
Event features include a survivor march, a remembrance ceremony, a display of team T shirts from past years, opening and closing ceremonies, and awards. Participants may choose to run as a timed or untimed participant, or to walk at their own pace. Wheelchairs and strollers are welcome. Water is provided at the halfway point of the course and at the event site, and light snacks are available.
In-person registrants who register prior to September 14, 2026 may receive an event T shirt; T shirts are not guaranteed for late registrants. Registration fees increase 60 days before the event and again during event week. Event week registration fees are listed as Timed Runner $30, Walker $25, Youth Timed Runner (12 and under) $10, and Youth Walker $5. Virtual participation is offered with free registration; virtual participants who raise $75 or more by September 14, 2026 will receive a mailed T shirt.
Volunteers are welcome from groups, schools, community organizations, families and individuals; opportunities are available for students seeking community service hours. Parking is free for participants and several parking lots and off-street spaces are available. Organizers note that anyone requesting payment for parking is not affiliated with the event.
