Super Sunday : RACE Cancer Foundation, Kendall Square, Cambridge
Super Sunday is an annual community event in Kendall Square, Cambridge, combining a 5K road race across East Cambridge with an indoor post-race party hosted in a BioMed Realty venue on E. Kendall Street. The event marks a multi-decade edition celebrating two decades of the event’s history and benefits the RACE Cancer Foundation.
Race entries are online pre-registration only. A limited number of combined race-plus-party entries include a winter hat, indoor party access, and two beverages for participants 21 and older; a race-only entry includes a hat. Fees are tiered and increase as the event date approaches. Refunds are allowed through December 31; transfers and other entry rules apply.
The post-race area features live music from Beach Nights, a DJ, food trucks, and beverage sponsors including Mighty Squirrel Brewing Company and BODYARMOR. Indoor changing areas and a secure bag-check area are provided by the venue. Photo coverage is published online after the event.
Awards include trophies for the top three overall women and men and age group champions across standard age brackets; recipients must be present at the awards ceremony to claim prizes. Overall and team awards are based on gun time, while age group awards use chip time. Volunteers receive commemorative swag, party admission, and beverage tickets in exchange for assigned roles on race day.
