RACE Cancer Summer Series : Boston 5K Spring & Summer Series (2026)
RACE Cancer Foundation will run eight Thursday evening, chip-timed 5K races in Cambridge, MA between April and September 2026. Confirmed dates are 4/30, 5/21, 6/4, 6/18, 7/9, 8/6, 9/10, and 9/24. The first four dates include a Women’s 5K followed by an Open 5K; the final four races are a single Open 5K with all runners together.
All events are based at the American Legion Marsh Post #442 and follow paths along the Charles River. The 2026 edition will use a temporary construction bypass course until dock and bridge work is complete. Each race includes a post-race gathering at the Marsh Post with beer provided by Mighty Squirrel and Sicilian pizza from Pinocchio’s; entrants receive two free beers and pizza at the party.
Financial and entry details are published for 2026: individual race fees listed as $42 early, $46 same week, and $50 same day; individual race registration opens April 1. Race pass registration opens March 23. Pass options include a Full Season Pass ($266, with a bonus shirt and pick-your-own bib), a Spring Pass ($149) and a Summer Pass ($159).
Awards are given for top overall finishers and age groups, and a season points competition scores runners across multiple races. Volunteer roles include number pickup, course support, bag check, and post-race service; volunteers receive after-party admission, food, and drink tickets.
