Race Around the Place : Carleton Place, October 24, 2026
Race Around the Place takes place on October 24, 2026 and is based at Carleton Junction in downtown Carleton Place. The event offers chip timed distances that run through the town's historic downtown, recreational paths, and a portion of the Trans Canada Trail.
The half marathon route extends to the hamlet of Appleton before returning to Carleton Place. Course sections include downtown streets and riverside or trail segments, with designated spectator zones along the route.

The event is organized as a not for profit and raises funds for the Lanark County Hunger Stop Food Bank. Volunteer roles include water stations, course marshals, and finish line support. Registration policies allow changing distances through the Race Roster dashboard and permit participant to participant transfers for a $5 admin fee; transfers close on October 1, 2026. Refunds are not provided outside of optional third party registration insurance purchased at registration.
Bib pickup will include multiple options before race day and limited morning of pickup. Free street parking and designated lots will be available within walking distance of the start area. Strollers and baby joggers are permitted in the 5K only; backpack child carriers are not allowed in any event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
