Event Information
Race Around the Place is a community-driven, not-for-profit running event organized by a volunteer team. It offers three race distances: a Half Marathon, a 10K, and a 5K. The event takes place on Saturday, October 24, 2026 at Carleton Junction in Carleton Place, Ontario.
Course and Atmosphere
The scenic routes showcase Carleton Place and surrounding areas, featuring historic downtown streets, river views, and trail segments.
Purpose and Beneficiaries
Proceeds from the event support the local food bank, Lanark County Foodbank 'Hunger Stop'. The race is sponsored by local businesses including Kirk Orthodontics, Cosgrove Real Estate Group, and Stalwart Brewing Co.
Registration Fees
The registration fees are inclusive of all charges and are as follows:
- 5K: $52.99 ($45 + fees)
- 10K: $75.54 ($65 + fees)
- Half Marathon: $109.36 ($95 + fees)
