Race Around the Place in Carleton Place : October 24, 2026
The second annual Race Around the Place takes place on October 24, 2026, in Carleton Place, Ontario. This chip timed event offers multiple distances and operates as a not for profit to raise funds for the Lanark County Hunger Stop Food Bank.
Routes run through the town's historic downtown and recreational paths. The half marathon extends to the hamlet of Appleton and returns to Carleton Place along a section of the Trans Canada Trail.

Bib pickup will include multiple options before race day and a limited morning of pickup. Participants must present their confirmation email, printed or on a phone, and a piece of ID to collect a bib. Strollers and baby joggers are permitted in the 5K only and should start near the back of the pack. Backpack style child carriers are not allowed.
Registrations and changes are managed through Race Roster. Distance changes are self serve; upgrades require payment of the fee difference and downgrades do not receive refunds. Participant to participant transfers are possible through Race Roster for a $5 administrative fee and must be completed by October 1, 2026. The event does not offer refunds or deferrals outside of third party insurance purchased at registration.
Free street parking and designated lots will be available within walking distance of the start area. Volunteer opportunities are part of the event, and a local run club meets regularly at Foundry Coffee Bar. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
