Race Around the Place
Race Around the Place is a non-profit community running event held in Carleton Place, Ontario. Hosted by a volunteer team, the event is centered at Carleton Junction and offers three different race distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10 km
- 5 km
The routes are designed to highlight the features of Carleton Place and the surrounding area. Participants run through historic downtown streets, past river views, and along various trail segments. To ensure a smooth experience on the course, the event implements staggered start times for each distance.
The proceeds from the event are used to support the Lanark County Foodbank, also known as The Hunger Stop. Following the races, participants have the opportunity to visit local businesses on Bridge Street and the surrounding downtown area. Additional registration features include the ability to transfer entries or purchase registrations as gifts. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
