About the race
Race Around the Place is a community-driven running event in Carleton Place, Ontario, at Carleton Junction. This not-for-profit race offers three distances—the Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K—welcoming first-time runners and seasoned athletes. The course features historic downtown streets, river views, and lush trails that showcase the town’s charm.
Run by volunteers, the event donates proceeds to the Lanark County Foodbank Hunger Stop, helping local hunger relief. After finishing, participants and spectators can explore Bridge Street and the surrounding downtown. It’s a celebration of active living, local pride, and small-town community spirit.
