About the race
The Richmond Road Races take place on Sunday, January 31, 2027, at South Carleton High School in Richmond, Ontario. The event offers two measured road races with professional chip timing and downloadable race photos.
Distances:
- 10 km
- 5 km
Registration includes a personalized race bib, professional timing with chip results, a commemorative finisher medal unless the Green Bib option is chosen, and a hot chilli lunch with a vegetarian option. Optional commemorative items are available, including a long sleeve hooded race shirt and an iTab ribbon hanger. Online registration may remain open until race day if bibs are available; onsite registration costs more. There are 550 entries available.
A Green Bib option omits the medal and directs a portion of the registration fee to The Good Companions, a non profit seniors’ centre that provides social, recreational, educational and support services for older adults and adults with physical disabilities.
Podium prizes are awarded to the top three male, female, and non-binary athletes. Five random prize draws are planned for participants.
Race day will include temporary road closures on McCordick Road, Century Road and McBean Street; roads will reopen after participants are off course. South Carleton High School is fully accessible. Route details and a downloadable map are provided by the organiser. If the organiser cancels due to inclement weather, registration fees will be fully refunded.
