Race Across the Roodee
Race Across the Roodee is a sponsored walk at Chester Racecourse on Saturday 26 September 2026. The route consists of five laps totaling 5 miles and includes on-course challenges while participants raise funds for local families.
The event is organised by Cheshire Community Foundation. Funds raised are channelled through the foundation to support the Thriving Families programme, which provides mentoring, emotional guidance, practical parenting support, and specialist help for children and teenagers to build resilience and help families stay strong. Participants may enter individually or as part of a team. Entry options listed include an individual entry priced at £5.00 and a team rate of £4.00 per person for groups of three or more. Entry fees are non-refundable and contribute to event organisational costs. Teams can register by purchasing places and later add members using a team password provided by the registration platform.
