Questars Adventure Race - Peak District
An outdoor winter adventure race in the Peak District on Saturday 30 January 2027 that combines trail running and mountain biking. Participants use a map and compass to navigate to as many checkpoints as possible within a time limit; there is no fixed route or minimum distance.
The score format puts each team or solo entrant in control of how far they run and bike. Entries are accepted for individuals and teams of 2, 3 or 4. A bike is required for bike events and bike hire is available; anyone using an e-bike must declare it and will be classified as non-competitive. A small set of mandatory safety kit is required for hill use.
Event options and typical durations:
- Run-only: Trail run, up to 2 hours. Entry £30.
- Bike-only: Mountain bike orienteering, up to 3 hours. Entry £30.
- Duo Taster: Run and bike, up to 3 hours. Entry £35.
- Duo Full: Run and bike, up to 5 hours. Entry £50.
Facilities at the venue include onsite parking, an indoor hall for shelter, food and drink provision, toilets, showers and changing areas. Bike hire details include a 9/10 speed hardtail MTB, helmet on request, tools and on-site support. Early bird pricing applies until 30 November and prices start from £30.
