Queen Maeve's

Queen Maeve's is a mountain running event organized by the Irish Mountain Running Association, taking place on August 9, 2025, in Knocknarea, Sligo. The race features a challenging route with approximately 7 km of terrain, including two climbs of Knocknarea and a total ascent of 370 meters. The course is fully marked and includes a shorter junior option of about 4 km.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Sligo Leitrim Mountain Rescue Team in memory of a valued member. Participants are required to carry mandatory safety gear, and the event is part of the North West League. The race starts and finishes at the Knocknarea tourist carpark.
