Location and route
Registration is located at the MayFly Inn in Ballinafad Village; Ballinafad is the designated parking location. The village is just off the N4 Sligo–Dublin road and is described as a short drive from Collooney and from Carrick On Shannon. There is a 2 km walk or warm-up jog to the start line and no parking is allowed on the access road to the start point. Entry details were not provided; entries for league events usually open a couple of weeks before the event.
Mandatory kit and safety
The event requires Level B standard kit. Required items are a waterproof jacket; hat or buff; gloves; whistle; charged mobile phone with the emergency number stored; and a foil blanket, bivvy bag, or equivalent. Runners must have the means to carry their kit. The specific kit to be carried may be finalised on the day and will be advised at registration. Failure to have required items may result in denial of entry or disqualification; random checks may be carried out.
Volunteering
Non-running volunteers need to complete two non-running volunteer roles in a calendar year to qualify for the end-of-year prize. Organisers advise aiming to volunteer at least once for every ten events run. Volunteers who both run and perform volunteer roles should check with the race director; volunteering while running does not count toward the non-running volunteer requirement for the end-of-year prize. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
