Montana Marathon : Billings, Montana
The Montana Marathon is a point to point road race that begins near Molt and finishes in downtown Billings. The route follows a gradual downhill descent of over 1,000 feet, crossing rolling plains into the city and offering open skies and mountain views. The event weekend includes multiple race options and a kids fun run.
Shuttles transport marathon and half marathon participants from the Senior High School parking area to their respective start locations; there is no parking at those start points. A 10K shuttle to Rimrock West Park is offered but not mandatory, and 5K runners start at Rose Park and must drive to that start. Post-race shuttles run from the Senior High School parking lot.
Course operations: the course is open to traffic, runners may run against traffic unless directed otherwise, and volunteers are stationed at most intersections. Strollers are not permitted on the marathon or half marathon courses. Dogs are not permitted on any race course. Music devices and earbuds are strongly discouraged. Portable toilets are located at the loading area, each start, the finish, and at several miles along the route. There are thirteen aid stations at approximately marathon miles 3, 6, 9, 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 and 25.

- Little Buzz Run for ages 3–11: 1 mile, 1/2 mile, 1/4 mile
Packet pick-up is scheduled the day before race day. The Billings Running Crown Challenge is offered for runners completing four local races in 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
