  • 25 miles (about 5,500 ft vertical gain)
  • 50 miles (about 11,000 ft vertical gain)

The loop course starts and finishes at Soldier Canyon. The first 25 mile loop runs clockwise from Soldier Canyon; 50 mile runners complete the same loop a second time in the opposite direction. Course, logistics and rules

The race fields are capped at 450 entries total (200 for the 50-mile, 250 for the 25-mile). Registration opens December 15, 2025. Entries are non-refundable; transfers are handled via waitlist or race transfer credit policies. The race enforces intermediate course cut-offs at several aid stations. Aid stations are mostly staffed and fully stocked with drinks, snacks, hot drinks and real-food options; two locations are water-only or limited aid. Gluten-free and vegan alternatives are available for most items. Drop bags are allowed at Horsetooth Trailhead and Soldier Canyon; unclaimed Horsetooth bags are handled by a local running store. The course will be marked with pink flagging, arrows and confidence flags. Race rules include no pacers, crewing only at designated aid stations, staying on trail, and no dogs.
