Quad-City Times Bix 7
The Quad-City Times Bix 7 is an annual running event in Davenport, Iowa built around a seven-mile road race through downtown. The primary course is an out-and-back route that begins at Brady Street Hill and finishes along the Mississippi River. The event weekend includes live music, cheering crowds, an expo with packet pickup, and a post-race celebration on the riverfront.
The Bix weekend comprises several related races and activities across multiple days. The Prairie Farms Quick Bix is a 2-mile race that shares the Bix start area and also finishes at the riverfront celebration. The Bechtel Trusts Senior Bix is a flat 1-2 mile course for participants aged 50 and older; race entry for eligible seniors who are registered for the main races is noted as free. The MercyOne Genesis Brady Street Sprints consist of quarter-mile uphill time trials that advance top finishers to a finals heat held during a live broadcast. Arconic Jr Bix offers various distances for children up to age 12, with each youth participant receiving a t-shirt, a medal, and access to the weekend festivities.
Race results are published after the event, and the weekend follows a schedule of events that includes community and race-oriented activities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
