YMCA of the Iowa Mississippi Valley McCarthy-Bush Turkey Trot
The 39th annual YMCA of the Iowa Mississippi Valley McCarthy-Bush Turkey Trot is held in downtown Davenport at the R. Richard Bittner YMCA, 630 E. 4th St. The event features chip-timed races and a separate kids program. Races are open to runners and walkers.
Distances offered include:
- 1 mile
- 5K
- 5 miles
- Kids races: 200 m (ages 2-5) and 400 m (ages 6-10)
A virtual option called Out of Town Trotter is available; participants who choose this option can receive a shirt and a bib without attending in person. The kids races finish at the Turkey Trot finish line. The event supports the YMCA of the Iowa Mississippi Valley and is intended as a community activity on Thanksgiving morning.
