The Quack Attack 5K presented by Redefined Fitness and Athens Ducks Unlimited is scheduled for Saturday, November 8, 2025, in Athens, Alabama. The event starts and finishes adjacent to Big Spring Memorial Park (350 Market St E, Athens, AL). Proceeds benefit the Athens Ducks Unlimited chapter for local wetlands conservation, protection, and management in Athens and Limestone County.
Registration, course and awards
Registration uses tiered pricing: early registration through September 30 ($25), regular through October 31 ($30), late through November 7 ($35), and on-site registration the day of the event ($40). Registrations made by October 8 are guaranteed the requested race shirt size; shirts after the deadline are available in limited sizes. Early packet pickup will be held at a sponsor location the Friday before the race, and race packets are also available at Big Spring Memorial Park on race morning.
The 5K course is USATF-certified (AL21009JE) and is timed. The route includes some small hills, with grades reported up to about 6-8%. Awards include overall male and female winners, Masters (40+) and GrandMasters (60+) divisions, and 1st–3rd place in the listed age groups (0-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+). Medals and participation prizes are provided. Parking is available on nearby park and street locations at no cost. Well-socialized, leashed dogs and strollers are allowed at the back of the pack; bicycles and similar devices are not permitted on course.
