Athens Ducks Unlimited Quack Attack presented by Redefined Fitness
The Athens Ducks Unlimited Chapter organizes the Quack Attack event in Athens, Alabama, to benefit conservation, protection, and management of wetlands in Athens and Limestone County. The event takes place on November 14, 2026, with activities centered at Big Spring Memorial Park in downtown Athens. Early packet pickup is available on the Friday before the race at Winter Timber Outdoors.

The event also includes the Quack Attack Lift off hybrid competition, which combines the running distance with two strength lifts. Lift off athletes complete the run and then attempt Bench Press and Clean lifts; each lift allows three attempts to establish a one rep max. Final Lift off rankings combine running position and strength results, with ties broken by highest combined strength total.
Awards are given for overall male and female finishers, Masters (40+) and GrandMasters (60+), and 1st through 3rd in ten-year age groups (0-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+). Liftoff awards include overall male and female. All participants receive a Ducks Unlimited participation prize.
The course is USATF certified (AL21009JE) and includes some small hills up to about a 6 to 8 percent grade. Nearby parking is available at no cost. Well-socialized leashed dogs and strollers are welcome at the back of the pack. Certain wheeled devices such as bikes and scooters are not allowed on course.
