Immigrants Run NYC 5K Run/Walk
This event is a community 5K run and walk organized by Queens Distance Runners in Queens. The course circles Flushing Meadows Corona Park and passes landmarks such as the Queens Unisphere and the New York State Pavilion. A virtual participation option is available so participants can complete the distance off-site and upload times and photos.
Half of the event proceeds will be shared with N.I.C.E to support immigrant workers. Parking is listed at the Queens Museum on Meridian Road, and packet pickup is a short walk from the Queens Unisphere.
Race-day amenities include live online, text, and email results, free finish-line photos, and a personalized bib for those who register at least three weeks in advance. The event has offered hot chocolate at past races and typically features a DJ after the finish.
Age-group recognition is planned with top 3 M/F/X awards in several brackets from 19 & Under through 70+. Early bib pickup is scheduled the day before the race, and in-person pickup takes place at the Queens Unisphere on race day.
