2026 PVTC Go Fourth 8K
The PVTC Go Fourth 8K is a running and race walking event organized by the Potomac Valley Track Club. Located at Bluemont Park in Arlington, Virginia, the event takes place on July 4. This competition is part of the Ed Barron Holiday Series, a collection of five races held throughout the year.
The course is designed to be flat and follows an out-and-back route on a paved trail. The path travels through a forested area and is noted as walker- and wheelchair-friendly. The race typical size is approximately 100 participants.

The event infrastructure includes ample free parking situated near the start line at 325 North Manchester Street. Participants can access on-site packet pickup on the morning of the event, and race-day registration is permitted. Awards with a patriotic theme are provided for the top three finishers in 10-year age groups for both men and women, as well as for racewalkers. Post-race refreshments are also available for attendees.
Registration is open to both members of the Potomac Valley Track Club and non-members. Additionally, runners who have pre-registered for the full Ed Barron Holiday Series are automatically entered into this event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
