Event details
The Potomac Valley Track Club stages the PVTC By George event on February 14, 2026, at East Potomac Park, 972 Ohio Drive SW, Washington, DC 20024. The event includes two distances:
- 5K
- 10K
Registration fees are listed as $15 for non-members and $10 for members. There is no race-day registration, and on-site packet pickup is available. Only one race entry is allowed per person. Each race typically has about 100 participants. The event is part of a series of five races; members may enter all five for the price of four ($40 total) and non-members may enter all five for the price of four ($60 total). New members can join PVTC for $20 to access member pricing.
Course and logistics
The course is flat, walker- and wheelchair-friendly, and uses one or two out-and-back segments on paved roads. Parking is described as ample and free at East Potomac Park Golf Course and on nearby streets. The 10K start is located about 200 feet north of the 5K start. Awards for the top three finishers in each race are cherry pies in 10-year age groups for men and women, with awards also for racewalkers. Post-race refreshments are provided.
