About the race
Purple Run is a road race held on March 20, 2027 at Sunset Regional Park in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event offers three distances and uses the paved History Walk trails inside the park.
- Half Marathon : 13.11 miles, three identical laps of 4.37 miles
- 10K : 6.2 miles, two laps of the 5K course
- 5K : 3.1 miles, one lap
The History Walk trails are separated from vehicular traffic and are mostly flat with slight inclines and declines. The course is walker and stroller friendly and passes views of the Las Vegas Strip, Frenchman’s Mountain, and nearby aircraft activity.
Aid stations are spaced about 1 to 2 miles apart and supply cupped water and Gatorade. Refill is available for participants who carry their own bottles or hydration systems. There are no pacers. Crew and spectators may use the start and finish area; race provisions are reserved for registered participants.
A designated drop bag area is located near the start and finish. Bags should be labeled, will not be guarded, and must be retrieved after the event. The event enforces a 3.5 hour course cutoff and records official finish times by gun time.
All finishers receive a medal. Registration for all distances includes a technical shirt (not guaranteed for very late registrations), a finisher medal, post race food, aid station access, and eligibility for overall and age group awards.
