Purple Run

Purple Run is a road and paved-trail running event at Sunset Regional Park in Las Vegas, Nevada on March 20, 2027. The event offers three distances:

• Half-Marathon (13.1 miles)
• 10K (6.2 miles)
• 5K (3.1 miles)

All courses start near the History Walk by the Dunes Overlook and run counter clockwise along the mapped park paths. The half-marathon consists of three equal laps of approximately 4.37 miles and splits from the 5K/10K course near mile 1.85. The History Walk trails are separated from vehicular traffic and are mostly flat with only slight inclines and declines. The routes are walker and stroller friendly and pass views of the Las Vegas Strip, Frenchman’s Mountain, and nearby wildlife.

Aid stations are placed about every 1 to 2 miles and provide cupped water plus Gatorade. Refill is available for personal bottles or hydration systems. Drop bags may be left near the start/finish; these are not guarded and should be labeled.

Race logistics notes: packet pickup is race day at the start line, the event is not a closed course and will be shared with the public, pets are not allowed on course, and there is a 3.5 hour cutoff for all distances. All finishers receive a medal; technical shirts, awards, and post-race food are included with registration but shirts are not guaranteed for last-minute entries.
