The mission of the race is to raise awareness about vascular birthmarks, such as port wine stains, and to encourage acceptance and education regarding these conditions. Over the past nine years, the event has raised more than $200,000 for the vascular birthmark community.
Participants can choose from several event distances and formats:
- 10 km run

- Family fun run
The proceeds from the event are directed toward the Vascular Anomalies Alliance to support programming and medical or social supports for individuals with vascular anomalies. The race attracts a community of supporters aiming to assist those who receive medical treatments for birthmarks. The event is scheduled to take place on August 9, 2026.
