Punk Panther Spring Headtorch Half
Punk Panther Spring Headtorch Half is an evening headtorch trail event around Swinsty and Fewston Reservoirs, organised by Punk Panther Ultra Marathons and held from Swinsty Moor Car Park (LS21 2NP). The event offers three route options and has a maximum of 150 entrants. Entries are not accepted on the day.
Distances include:
- Half Marathon - two laps of Swinsty and Fewston Reservoirs.
- 10 km - one lap of Swinsty and Fewston Reservoirs.
- 5 km - one lap of Swinsty Reservoir.
Climb figures are published for each distance: approximately 800 ft for the half, 400 ft for 10 km and 200 ft for 5 km. Water will be available at the Punk Panther Gazebo after the first lap and at the finish. The course will not be taped. The finish is at the edge of the woods before the road back to the car park. Every finisher receives a medal.
Registration is at the Punk Panther Gazebo by the toilet block at the car park entrance and a short race brief is given after registration closes. Toilets are available in the car park. Competitors are asked to carry a head torch and a mobile phone with the race director’s number stored and to keep the phone switched on.
