Event Overview
The Pumpkinfest 5K Run/Walk is an annual community event held in Anamosa, Iowa. Taking place on Saturday, October 3, 2026, the event coincides with the local Pumpkinfest celebrations. The course is open to both runners and walkers of all ages and ability levels.
Course and Location
The event begins and ends near the Anamosa Library and Learning Center located at 600 E 1st Street. Participants should utilize on-street parking, as the library parking lot is reserved for race operations. The route takes participants through the city of Anamosa as part of the morning festivities.
Registration and Participation
Early registration is available, and participants who register by September 12 receive a race shirt. Packet pickup is offered on the Thursday and Friday before the event at Citizens Bank on East Main Street, or on the morning of the race at the library parking lot.
Awards and Categories
Awards are provided for the overall male and female champions. Additionally, age group awards are distributed across several divisions:
- 8 and Under
- Ages 9-12, 13-15, and 16-19
- Ages 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, and 50-59
- Ages 60+
Following the run, participants can visit the downtown area for the Ryan Norlin Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off, various vendors, a Kids Zone, and the Pumpkinfest Parade. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
