Mizuno Pumpkin Relay and Potluck in Old Saybrook
Marathon Sports in Old Saybrook presents a pumpkin themed relay followed by a community potluck. The event uses a team relay format and takes place at Marathon Sports, 238 Main Street, Old Saybrook, CT 06475. Participants meet in the back lot for timing and post‑run festivities.
Teams of three share the relay, with two route options:
- 1.3-mile leg option for a relay segment.
- 3.7-mile leg option for a relay segment.
Each team carries a pumpkin or may use a paper pumpkin necklace supplied by Mizuno. Teams receive a time bonus based on the size of the pumpkin carried. After the relay there is a potluck with apple cider and cider donuts, and awards are presented following the post‑run gathering. Check‑in occurs before the relay and timing is handled at the meeting area.
