Event overview
The Pump It Up 5 Miler takes place on May 9, 2026 in Jericho, VT. The race distance is 5 miles and the course is certified (VT13009JK). Entry fee is $15; GMAA members receive a $5 discount. Online pre-registration closes at midnight on May 8. Day-of registration is available for $20 by cash or check. All pre-registered runners are entered into a raffle.
Course and logistics
The course is an out-and-back on Old Pump Road, a dirt road that initially crosses Browns River and then arcs along fields and a tree line. The course is described as gently rolling. There is an aid station on course with water at miles 1.75 and 3.25. Water and post-race refreshments will be available at the finish. Two porta-potties will be located on the grass in the parking area in front of Jericho Elementary School.
Additional details
The event is open to runners aged 12 and older; runners under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the race. Awards will be given to top overall finishers in the men’s, women’s, non-binary and under-18 categories. Raffle prizes are distributed at packet pickup and finisher prizes at the finish line. Parking is at Jericho Elementary School; parking at Palmer Lane Maple is not allowed. The local running club’s board is seeking a race director for this event.
