Event details
The Pump It Up 5 Miler takes place on May 9, 2026 in Jericho, VT (ZIP 05465). The race distance is 5 miles and is certified (VT13009JK). The event is open to runners 12 and older; runners under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during the race. Entry fee is $15; GMAA members receive a $5 discount. Day-of registration is available for $20 by cash or check. There are no refunds, deferrals, or transfers.
Course and facilities
The course is an out-and-back on Old Pump Road, a dirt road described as gently rolling. It crosses Browns River, then runs along fields and a tree line. There is an aid station on course with water at miles 1.75 and 3.25. Water and post-race refreshments will be available at the finish. Two porta-potties will be located on the grass in the parking area in front of Jericho Elementary School.
Registration, logistics and prizes
Online pre-registration is encouraged and closes the night before the race; all pre-registered runners are entered into a raffle. Early packet pickup is held on Friday at Ski Rack; race day packet pickup is in the alcove in front of Jericho Elementary School. Awards are planned for overall top finishers in men’s, women’s, non-binary and under-18 categories. The GMAA Board of Directors is seeking a race director for this event.
