Pufferbilly Days takes place on September 19, 2026 in downtown Boone, Iowa, at 7th and Story St. This year marks the 50th anniversary of Pufferbilly Days. Courses begin and end downtown.

Available distances include:

• 5K (3.1 Miles)
• 10K (6.2 Miles)
• Cross Country Team 5K (3.1 Miles)

Registration details from the organizer are:

• Pufferbilly Days 5K and 10K: registration opens February 14, 2026 and closes September 5, 2026; registration fee $40.00.
• Cross Country Team 5K: registration opens June 17, 2026 and closes September 19, 2026; registration fee $20.00. Age-based pricing is available for participants 17 and under. The organizer will donate $5 from each registration to Lowell Park renovations.

Participants should be able to complete the race before the community parade, which begins at 9:30. The event day also includes a parade, a food court, family-friendly activities, and live music. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
