Health First Florida Marathon Weekend
The Health First Florida Marathon Weekend is a multi-distance running event held in Melbourne on Florida's Space Coast. The start and finish areas are near Melbourne’s Riverside Front Street Park. Packet pickup and a Health & Fitness Expo take place at the Front Street Civic Center on the day before the race, with the expo open from 10:30am until 5pm.
The course begins in downtown Melbourne and follows US1 and the Indian River, offering waterfront views and multiple bridge crossings: two for half marathoners and four for full marathon runners. The event includes on-course music with up to 12 musical acts on the half and full marathon routes and several acts along the 10k and 5k routes.
Race services and rules include a seven hour time limit to complete the event, pacers for marathon and half marathon, and walker-friendly 10k and 5k races while walkers are not permitted in the half marathon or marathon. Amenities listed for finishers include recycled-metal themed medals, a choice of branded hat or visor, post-race festivities, complimentary finisher photos, and on-course Gatorade and water. Brews are provided to runners by Carib Brewery. T-shirts are sold separately. The event states ongoing sustainability practices, including composting, recycling, and reuse.
