PTXC Community 5K
The PTXC Community 5K is a running and walking event held at the Peterswood Park Softball Complex in Venetia, Pennsylvania. Organized to support the Peters Township Cross Country Boosters, the race features a 3.1 mile distance. The course is USATF sanctioned, and participants have the option to either run or complete a run-walk combination.
Registration for the event is available online until the evening before the race, with walk-up registration also permitted on the morning of the event at the softball complex. The venue is located at the end of Meredith Drive, accessible by continuing past the local recreation center and turning onto Bruni Drive. Participants who complete their registration by May 25th are guaranteed a race t-shirt.
The event includes a structured awards ceremony once the race concludes. Recognition is given to the top three overall male and female finishers. Additionally, the first-place male and female finishers in several specific age categories are recognized. These age groups include 1-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over. Packet pickup is handled on-site at the park facilities.
