Event overview
The PTI 5k/10k Run on the Runway takes place on March 28, 2026, at Piedmont Triad International Airport in Greensboro, NC (1000 Ted Johnson Parkway, 27409). The event is held on the airport's 9,000-foot parallel runway and benefits Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC, Greensboro Urban Ministry, and Open Door Ministries of High Point. Registration options and fees are listed for each event, and a bib and t-shirt mailing option is available for an additional $10 with a March 13, 2026 deadline.

The course is described as flat and smooth, wheelchair accessible, and baby stroller friendly. Packet pickup is scheduled in person on March 26 and March 27 at designated locations; registrants may choose the mailed bib/t-shirt option instead. Some event registrations have closing dates the day before the race. Prices and registration rules vary by event, and children 12 and under may not have a shirt included with registration.
Course rules and safety
Bikes, rollerblades, inline skates, and pets are not allowed. Running strollers are permitted but must have a minimum 6-inch wheel. The race director may reject entries or remove participants for safety reasons. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
