PTI Run on the Runway
The PTI Run on the Runway is scheduled for April 3, 2027, at 7807 Airport Center Drive in Greensboro. The event takes place on the airport's 9,000-foot parallel runway and offers a flat, smooth, wheelchair accessible, and stroller friendly course.
Multiple event options are offered:
- 10K Run - Timed
- 5K Run - Timed
- Walk to Win Against Hunger 5K
- 1 Mile
- Kids 100 yard dash
Registration opens July 1, 2026. Most event fees are $30 and the kids dash fee is $5.
Because the event occurs in a secure airport environment, certain items are not permitted on the runway: bicycles, rollerblades, inline skates, dogs, and other pets. Safety rules apply to maintain a secure area around the runway and to protect participants and airport operations.
The layout gives participants direct views of airport facilities and runways from the runway surface. The course is described as flat and smooth, and it is intended to be accessible for a range of mobility types and ages. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
