Event details
The PTI 5k/10k Run on the Runway takes place on March 28, 2026, in Greensboro, NC at 1000 Ted Johnson Parkway. The run is held on the airport’s 9,000-foot parallel runway and provides a flat, smooth, wheelchair-accessible course with close-up views of the airfield. The event benefits The Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC, Greensboro Urban Ministry, and Open Door Ministries of High Point.

Entry fees listed in the event information are $33 for the 5k, $40 for the 10k, $25 for the walk, and $5 for the kids dash. The 5k and 10k fees increase after January 28, 2026. A Bib & T-Shirt mailing option is available for $10 with a mailing deadline of March 13, 2026; registrants who do not request mailing must use in-person packet pickup sessions.
Logistics and rules
Packet pickup sessions are scheduled before race day at a High Point Fleet Feet location and at the PTI terminal. For safety and security, bikes, rollerblades, inline skates, dogs, and other pets are not allowed; running baby strollers are permitted but must have a minimum 6" wheel. If the race is canceled for reasons beyond the race director’s control, refunds will not be made. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
