About the race
The PRTC Indoor Classic is an indoor track meet hosted by the Philadelphia Runner Track Club at the University of Pennsylvania's Jane and David Ott Center, located at 2910 South St, Philadelphia, PA 19104, US.
The meet offers the following track events:
- 200 m Sprint
- 400 m Sprint
- 800 m Dash
- Mile
- 3000 m
- Distance Medley Relay
Events are organized into Open sections (mixed gender, grouped by expected finish time), Masters sections (40 years and above), and High Performance sections. Section assignments are determined by timing officials based on field size and depth to ensure safe racing. The meet is USATF sanctioned and listed on the World Athletics calendar. Prize pools are noted for some sections, including an $800 prize pool for Masters and a $2,000 prize pool for High Performance fields.
Registration details vary by event. Registration opens on 11/12/2026 for most events and most individual-event registration closes on 02/20/2027; Distance Medley Relay registration closes on 03/03/2027. Entry fees listed for events include $30 for the 200 m and 400 m, $35 for the 800 m, $40 for the Mile, $45 for the 3000 m, and a relay set-up cost for the DMR (relay team purchaser pays the set-up fee; subsequent relay members register at no additional checkout cost).
