Proud to Run: Pride Race
Proud to Run: Pride Race takes place on Saturday, June 27, 2026, in Chicago at Montrose Grove 16, 400 W Montrose Harbor Dr. The event is produced by Proud to Run Chicago, a 501(c)(3) charity whose mission is to support organizations that empower the LGBTQ+ community in Chicago. The race series is organized by an all volunteer, community based board of directors, and gifts to Proud to Run are fully deductible for United States federal income tax purposes, subject to IRS limitations.
The event lineup includes multiple distances:
- 5k Walk
- 5k Run
- 10k Run
Every participant receives a Proud to Run tank top and finishers receive a medal. Additional apparel and accessories such as a Technical Trucker hat and a Crossbody bag are offered for purchase and are available at packet pickup or on race day.
Course information indicates routing along the lake shore with two way sections, and the 10k course returns through the start line and includes a split point. Adaptive athletes are welcomed; adaptive participants must notify the Race Director at least seven days before the event so organizers can prepare an Early Starters corral and make necessary arrangements.
