The 37th Annual Prospect Park Spring Duathlon takes place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, NY. The event is organized by NYTri and is based at Lincoln Field near the Well House Drive entrance. The race program includes an individual Duathlon, a Team Relay Duathlon, and a Volunteer 1 for 1 option.
Course and distances
The event uses park loops for both runs and the bike. Distances are:
- Run 1: 2.1 miles (inner loop).
- Bike: 10 miles (three laps around Prospect Park Drive).
- Run 2: 3.3 miles (full outer loop, final lap).
The first run follows the park’s inner loop across Center Drive and around Prospect Park Lake. The bike course is three laps on Prospect Park Drive and includes an uphill section toward Grand Army Plaza and a steep downhill on the return of each loop. The final run is the full 3.3-mile loop and includes about 140 ft of elevation gain.
Registration, volunteers and sanctioning
Published entry fees are $91.10 for the individual Duathlon (includes a $6.10 fee) and $128.20 for the Team Relay Duathlon (includes an $8.20 fee); prices increase after January 31, 2026. The Duathlon entry is open to ages 18 and older. Volunteer registration for the Volunteer 1 for 1 option is free and closes April 9, 2026. Volunteers are scheduled from 5:00 am to 11:00 am and must sign out to receive race credit. The event is not USAT certified or sanctioned, and a USAT racing license is not required.
