The Prospect Park Half Marathon
The Prospect Park Half Marathon takes place in Brooklyn, New York. The course covers a total distance of 13.1 miles within the historic landscape of Prospect Park. Participants complete a multi-loop route that begins and ends on Center Drive, located in the middle of the park.
The race course consists of one loop of the northern half of the park, followed by three counter-clockwise loops of the park's outer ring. Runners transition from Center Drive onto West Drive to complete the circuit. To assist with hydration, water stations are positioned along the course at intervals of approximately 1.5 miles. All finishers receive medals upon completing the event back at the finish line on Center Drive.
The event site is accessible via public transportation, with the F, G, and Q subway trains located nearby. For those driving, street parking is available on Park Side Avenue and Prospect Park South West. On-site facilities include a baggage check area situated close to the bib pickup location. Participants must collect their race materials on the morning of the event between 6:30 and 7:30.
