Promise 5K and Kids Fun Run
The event takes place on October 10, 2026 at Robbins Island Regional Park in Willmar, MN. It raises funds and awareness for vulnerable children and families in Haiti, with registration fees and free will donations directed to Children of the Promise.
The in-person 5K is an officially timed race and is part of the Glacial Lakes Championship Running Series of West Central Minnesota. The route runs through the park and around Willmar Lake. On-site activities include pie available from Pie-K, updates from Haiti, and displays of Haitian-made artwork.
A kids fun run is held immediately before the main 5K as a memorial event honoring a child connected to Children of the Promise. A virtual 5K option is available for participants who are not local; that option can be completed in a neighborhood, local park, or on a treadmill.
