Project New Ngoma 5k: Run for Roofs!
The Project New Ngoma 5k is a community run along the Schuylkill River Trail in the Fairmount area of Philadelphia. The event raises funds to provide teacher housing for New Ngoma School in Zambia. The course begins near the Fountain of the Sea Horses behind the Philadelphia Art Museum.
The event is scheduled to last about two hours and is open to all ages. Participants may run, jog, or walk the 5-kilometre distance. After the run, snacks and refreshments are provided. A photographer will be on site to record race-day activity.
All registered participants receive one free raffle entry. Additional raffle tickets are available for purchase before the race; cash is preferred and Venmo is accepted.
