Cardiff Half Marathon
The Cardiff Half Marathon is a mass-participation road race in Cardiff. It is the UK’s second largest half marathon and Wales’ largest mass participation and multi-charity fundraising event. Over 27,500 people register to take part each year.
The course is described as flat and fast and passes many of the city’s landmarks, including Cardiff Castle, the Principality Stadium, the Civic Centre and Cardiff Bay. Thousands of spectators attend to support runners.
The event combines community and elite competition. First-timers, charity fundraisers and world-class athletes run together, and the programme includes three elite races: men’s, women’s and wheelchair. The race is a member of the SuperHalfs series and has been awarded an Elite Race Label by World Athletics. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
