Cardiff Half Marathon
The Cardiff Half Marathon is an annual mass-participation road race organised by Run 4 Wales. The event regularly attracts over 27,500 entrants, including first-time runners, charity fundraisers and world-class athletes. The programme includes men's, women's and wheelchair elite races.
The course is described as flat and fast and passes a number of city landmarks, including Cardiff Castle, the Principality Stadium, the Civic Centre and Cardiff Bay. Thousands of spectators attend along the route.
The race is a member of the SuperHalfs series alongside other international half marathons in cities such as Lisbon, Prague, Berlin, Copenhagen and Valencia. It has been awarded an Elite Race Label by World Athletics. The event is also noted as Wales' largest multi-charity fundraising event and the UK’s second largest half marathon.
