Cardiff Half Marathon
The Cardiff Half Marathon is an annual half marathon held in Cardiff. The event for 2026 is scheduled on 04 October 2026. Each year the race registers over 27,500 participants and is described as the UK’s second largest half marathon and Wales’ largest multi charity fundraising event.
The course is presented as flat and fast and passes several city landmarks, including Cardiff Castle, the Principality Stadium, the Civic Centre and Cardiff Bay. The race is a member of the SuperHalfs series and has been awarded an Elite Race Label by World Athletics. The event programme includes open mass participation entries alongside elite men’s, women’s and wheelchair races, and thousands of spectators typically line parts of the route.
