HiTOPS Princeton Half Marathon
The event offers in-person and virtual options centered on historic Princeton. The in-person course runs entirely through Princeton landmarks including Princeton Battlefield, the Institute for Advanced Study, the home of Einstein, Princeton University, the Princeton Boathouse on Lake Carnegie, Westminster Choir College, Mount Lucas and Herrontown Woods.
Distances:
- 13.1 miles, in-person half marathon
- 13.1 miles, virtual half marathon
- Any distance, virtual youth run
The in-person race is a USATF sanctioned Grand Prix event with a limited field of 1800 runners. Participants receive a commemorative medal, shirt, and bib. Packet pickup is available at Fleet Feet (Princeton) in early November for both in-person and virtual entries. Awards are given to the top three finishers in male, female, and nonbinary categories, top Princeton employee awards, and five-year age group awards from 14 and under to 85 plus in male and female divisions.
The virtual half marathon permits completion of 13.1 miles either in one effort or cumulatively between November 8 and November 22, at any location. Virtual entries receive a commemorative medal, shirt, and bib shipped to the participant, and virtual results tracking visualizes progress along the Princeton course. Fundraising incentives include a registration refund for participants who raise $250. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
