2026 HiTOPS Princeton Half Marathon, Princeton NJ

The HiTOPS Princeton Half Marathon is a fundraising event in Princeton, New Jersey, with proceeds supporting HiTOPS, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides sex education and LGBTQ+ support for young people across New Jersey. The event is scheduled for November 8, 2026, and has generated nearly $1.1 million net funds for HiTOPS since its inception.

The in-person half marathon follows a course entirely within historic Princeton, passing Princeton Battlefield, the Institute for Advanced Study and the home of Einstein, Princeton University, the Princeton Boathouse on Lake Carnegie, Westminster Choir College, Mount Lucas, and Herrontown Woods. The race is USATF certified and part of a Grand Prix series. Participants receive a commemorative medal, shirt, and bib. Packet pickup for in-person entries will be available at Fleet Feet Princeton; virtual packets are shipped in early November. The live field is limited to 1,800 runners and participants must not exceed a 13 minute per mile pace. Awards are offered for top finishers and multiple age-group categories, including top male, female, and nonbinary finishers.

Event options include live, virtual, and youth formats. The virtual half allows completion of 13.1 miles at once or cumulatively between November 8 and November 22, 2026. The youth run is open to people 18 and under and awards a commemorative youth medal for any distance completed during the virtual window. Fundraising incentives include registration refunds and tiered prize options for funds raised. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
