Pride Run Lexington : Frontrunners Lexington
Frontrunners Lexington stages a community Pride Run event at Coldstream Park in Lexington, KY (1850 Pisacano Drive). The weekend program includes a chip timed 3.1 Miles 5K run/walk, a 1 mile fun walk, and a virtual 5K option. Registration fees are listed for each event.
The 5K is chip timed and features overall awards for the top three finishers in Male, Female, and Non-Binary categories. Age group awards are offered as follows: Male and Female age groups 0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+; Non-Binary age groups 0-20, 20+, 40+. Strollers, walkers, and dogs on fixed length leashes are allowed on course.
Event activities at the venue include a DJ, a drag show, refreshments, and tables from local vendors, sponsors, and nonprofit organizations distributing resources and swag. Packet pickup is offered at two locations, including Wise Bird Cider Company and at Coldstream Park, with at least two opportunities to collect race materials before race morning. Giveaway items such as event shirts and water bottles are tied to registration deadlines and must be claimed by race morning or they will be redistributed.
Proceeds support LGBTQ+ students, families, and allies through resources, programming, GSA development and maintenance, activities, and training in local K-12 public schools. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
