Pride 5K Run/Walk and Fall Bash : Lansing
GAAY Sports is organizing an in-person Pride 5K Run/Walk and a Fall Bash at Hawk Island in Lansing, Michigan (1601 E Cavanaugh Rd) on November 7, 2026. The local event accompanies the nationwide Pride 5K, which is presented as a virtual event on the same date and invites participants to complete a 5K where they are.
The event includes a designated 5K route at Hawk Island. It is framed as a community-focused activity rather than a professionally timed race; participants may track their own time using their preferred app or watch. The Fall Bash follows the 5K and will offer food and drinks for attendees.
Participation in the GAAY Sports Pride 5K and the Fall Bash is free. Organizers request registration for local planning; registering for the Pride 5K also covers the headcount for the Fall Bash, while a separate Fall Bash only registration exists for those who will attend the gathering but not the 5K. Optional donations are accepted to cover event setup, food, and other expenses, with any remaining funds to be donated to Point of Pride to support gender-affirming care.
The official 2026 Pride 5K shirt is available only through the national Pride 5K channels; purchasing that shirt is separate from local event participation and is not required to attend the GAAY Sports gathering. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
