2027 President's Day 5k, 10k, & 10 Miler
This is a trail running event at Fountainhead Regional Park in Fairfax Station, VA with multiple distance options and an in-person and virtual participation option. The courses are out-and-back routes through forested trails; the 5k is one out-and-back while the 10k and 10 mile routes use two out-and-backs. The trail is technical and includes hills; participants are advised to check the course map for elevation gain.
Distances
- 5k out-and-back once on the forest trail.
- 10k two out-and-backs on the forest trail.
- 10 mile two out-and-backs; time limit of 2:30 for completion.
Runners receive a finisher's medal, a technical event shirt, and chip timing. T-shirts are guaranteed for registrations before February 3; extra shirts may be available after that date on a first-come first-served basis. Registration fees are listed by distance and increase after January 31; prices also increase on race morning.
Water stations are placed along each course with seven stations on the 10 mile route, three on the 10k, and one on the 5k, at approximate mile markers given in the course information. Portajohns are located near the parking area. Live results are posted online and final results with series points are published on the Monday after the event. Awards are given to top overall finishers and to age group winners. The event supports Operation Turbo. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
