2026 President's Day 5k, 10k, & 10 Miler
This event offers three timed race distances on forest trails at Fountainhead Regional Park in Fairfax Station, Virginia. Points from the races count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, Endurance, and Back of the Pack Series, and also toward the Winter Series. A virtual race option is available. Walkers are welcome.
Runners receive a finisher's medal, a technical (Drifit) event shirt, and chip timing. T-shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before February 4; additional shirts will be available on a first-come first-served basis. Race day registration is available and prices increase by $5 on race morning.
The courses are out-and-back forest trails through the woods. The 5k is a single out-and-back, while the 10k and 10 Miler use two out-and-back legs. Trails include hills and technical footing; elevation gain is shown on the course map. The 10 Miler has a completion time limit of 2 hours 30 minutes.
There are multiple water stations: seven along the 10 Miler at approximate mile markers 1.55, 2.5, 3.45, 5, 6.55, 7.5, and 8.45; three on the 10k at about 1.55, 3.1, and 4.65; and one on the 5k at about 1.55. Portajohns will be located near the parking lot.
Live results are posted on Athlinks with a race-day QR code for immediate access. Final results with series points are posted the Monday after the event. Awards recognize the top three men and women overall and first and second in standard age categories; overall top three finishers are not eligible for age-group prizes.
