Elite Running Championship by Presidential Guard
The Elite Running Championship by Presidential Guard is organised by the Presidential Guard in cooperation with Endurance Sports Services and City Centre Al Zahia. The event takes place at Zahia City Centre in Sharjah on 29 August 2026 and offers races for juniors and adults.
The programme includes these distances:
- 800 m for juniors
- 4 km for adults
- 8 km for adults
The course is a roughly 1 km loop. Four laps are required for the 4 km race and eight laps for the 8 km race; counting laps is the participant's responsibility. Support is provided at the finish line only and there is one water station at the starting area. The event uses automated timing and issues electronic certificates, with finisher and finalists medals and trophies. Medical cover is provided by a registered nurse or emergency medical services. Facilities listed include parking, toilets, changing rooms, and showers.
The event has a prize pool of AED 15,000. Registration and refund rules are managed by the organiser and include a non-refundable policy with limited refund options before the event; a 10% administration fee applies to refunds where permitted.
