About the race
Step Together is a community-focused sports initiative taking place in Ajman on Saturday, 29 August 2026. The event follows a Buddy Run concept in which two or more people participate together and support each other throughout the activity. The initiative emphasizes participation, interaction, and building human connections rather than competition, and it aims to provide a safe and inclusive environment for all ages and abilities. Organizers list several objectives: promoting social inclusion across community groups, encouraging volunteerism, motivating physical activity, building positive social connections, strengthening self-confidence and cooperation, enhancing community well-being, and raising awareness about integrating People of Determination and senior citizens in sports activities. Target groups include People of Determination, senior citizens, children and youth, community members and families, volunteers, government and community organization staff, and sports and community specialists.
Registration closes on 28 August 2026 at 12:00 AM or sooner if places sell out; cancellations are accepted up to 27 August 2026 at 11:59 PM or sooner if the event sells out.
